Musselburgh Gold Club is located in Lothian, Scotland. The Club was formed in 1938 and the course was built by five time Open Champion turned golf architect James Braid.Throughout the years, Musselburgh has hosted many amateur championships and on two occasions the Scottish Professional Championship.

It was a Regional Open Championship Qualifying course until 2010 and in 2013 it was a Local Final Qualifying venue fot the Open at Muirfield.Musselburgh golf course is built round a bend of the River Esk and has relatively flat, generous, tree-lined fairways. The Craigie burn meanders through the course.Musselburgh Golf Club is located 20 minutes from Edinburgh City Centre and 30 minutes from Edinburgh Airport at the east end of the Edinburgh bypass.Musselburgh is an 18 hole parkland course with a par of 71 and a length of 6149m.

To get a good score on this course it is necessary to keep the ball in play whilst still being long off the tee. It is not an easy course but it certainly an enjoyable course as visitors return to play the course again and again. Visitors are made very welcome to Musselburgh, tee times for visitors are available throughout the week. Limited tee times are available on Sundays so booking in advance is necessary. Saturdays are reserved for members.

Green fees for this course are very reasonable but rates vary according to season. Juniors are welcome on this course.The clubhouse offers a range of bar and catering facilities. A menu is available daily for meals and snacks. Large parties must confirm catering requirements seven days prior to their visit.The pro shop on site has a wide range of golfing equipment and apparel with the club’s professional on hand to offer help and advice.
